Moon & Sky vs King Of Sorrow

Moon & Sky vs King Of Sorrow

I personnaly think M&S is a song with same flavour as KOS only not as good lyrically but musically its closer to R&B Somebody Already Broke My Heart

I hope Sade will not skip KOS for M&S while touring

I totally agree with your lineup, if MATS is the third single I can see them performing it in the beginning

I agree with Skin probably replacing SABMYH but I am actually hoping Bring Me Home is followed by KOS in the lineup. I also think the Moon and the Sky will be the first song performed from the SOL album, while SOL, the song, will be the first encore and The Safest Place will probably be the last song performed but I'm not sure what will be the first song in the set but I'm thinking something from the Lovers Rock album.

If anything I think KOS will be replaced by bring me home, based on theme rather than vocals, not sure about what song moon and the sky will replace, but I think skin will replace somebody already broke my heart

Both songs have elements that I like. KOS is lyrically and musically a beautiful song ('I want to cook you a soup that warms your soul') but The M&S has a strong rhythm and hook so its easy to sing along to. Vocally the KOS performance is superior to me though. On KOS and Lover's Rock her voice has an airy quality that floats and glides above the music - it is seductive even when the subject matter involves heartbreak. But for some reason on The M&S her voice has a dryer quality to it almost like she went out and had a smoke just before recording the song. It is an observation I have noted on some but not all of the songs on SOL too. It is not so much that her voice is deeper but that it has a more monotone sound on some songs and the recording process did not capture some of the texture and vocal nuances I am familiar with from years of playing Sade's record. Anyway it would be nice if she found a way to work both songs into any potential tour.

I love both songs and I hope they are both part of the tour setlist. Sade's tours are usually heavy on the most recent album, but I hope there is still room for older favorites and I would love to hear some of the more 'rare' songs as well. Maybe they could to do a three hour tour LOL.

We all have our favourites and although it may sound a bit whimsical to hope for a song or another

I really hope we'll have the big hits, you know the ones we cant/they cant do without like cherishtheday, smooth op, Is it a Crime, Pearls, No Ord, the Sweetest taboo ? and although not as well know some other songs which in fact are just as good if not better and that are part of Sade's musical "aura" to us like War Of The Hearts, Bullet Proof Soul, Haunt Me, it would also be nice that we'd hear Love Is Stronger Than Pride and/or Nothing Can Come

On the other hand the new fans will want to hear the most of SOL I personally could do without The Moon & Sky in favour of KOS

There are so many beautiful songs that I would like to see in concert.
It must be hard to make a selection ? ;) Eye-wink

I agree with your comparison of the two songs and hope they will both be included in the tour.
