I’m still elated after one of the best weekends of music I can remember in a long time. I was actually bouncing off the walls with excitement about seeing Sade live in Abu Dhabi. I’ve waited a lifetime to see her in perform. After such expectation there’s always a fear of disappointment. I’m always hesitant to meet people I admire. Fortunately in this case I left overwhelmed. There was a real magic in everything she did, every move and gesture had me captivated from start to finish. I didn’t want it to end. Well done to Flash for another great booking. After the show I opted for not meeting her preferring my illusion to the reality of her just being a normal person with the voice of an angel. I’m glad I didn’t break the spell.

Thanks to everyone who came down to the Soulful Sessions Sade after party at Yas Hotel. As strange as it sounds the nights where you get the opportunity to just play a straight up self indulgent soulful set and have people appreciate it are few and far between these days. It was a great ending to just the perfect day. (Besides Schooly waking me up at five thirty trying to find his hotel room)..."
